Behind the Book
Unlock the Secrets of Writing a Nonfiction Book
Have you ever thought about writing a nonfiction book? You know that writing a book can change your career, expand your influence, and help you share your expertise, but how do you actually get it done?
Maybe you’ve heard about getting an agent, writing a book proposal, or working with a developmental editor, and felt completely overwhelmed.
The truth is, a lot of the information about writing and publishing nonfiction books is kept behind closed doors. How do all these moving pieces fit together? What’s the right way to pitch your idea? How do you design a cover that sells? And how do you manage such a huge project without burning out?
On October 18th, I’m hosting an exclusive behind-the-scenes session, where I’ll share my REAL experience of taking my nonfiction book from a rough idea to publication.
This session is your opportunity to peek behind the curtain of the entire book creation process, from securing a book deal to finalizing the title and cover.
No fluff, just real-world lessons learned, mistakes made, and how I took care of my mental health while managing everything.
And this won’t just be me talking to myself: there will be a live Q&A. This is your chance to ask me anything you’ve ever wondered about writing and publishing a nonfiction book.
Here’s what you’ll get in the session:
- My actual book pitch that landed me the deal, before I even had a final title or a fully developed concept.
- An exclusive look at 21 cover designs we explored, showing the step-by-step process of how I narrowed them down and tested them.
- All the title options I considered, plus the results of the newsletter polling and paid ads we used for title testing.
- A cut excerpt that didn’t make it into the final book—content that was deemed “too intense” and no one else will see.
- Personal book advice I received from other authors and creators, compiled from emails, texts, and calls.
- A recording of the session with all your questions answered, even if you can’t join live.
